Ezelyn Astrera-Junio

Media Production Aide

Ezelyn Astrera-Junio currently serves as a Media Production Aide at the UP Film Institute of the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she also works as the Department Secretary for the Academic Section. In this capacity, she provides administrative and academic support to faculty members and students, particularly in coordinating academic requirements and student-related concerns within the institute.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Lyceum-Northwestern University in 2025. Through her role at UPFI, she contributes to the effective facilitation of academic processes and student services within the institute.

Jacqueline Manalo-Nario

Administrative Officer IV

Jacqueline Manalo-Nario is an Administrative Officer at the University of the Philippines Film Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Our Lady of Fatima University–Quezon City and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at World Citi Colleges. At UPFI, she oversees administrative operations, manages financial processes, and provides personnel support. Her current research focuses on government employee retirement.

Giano Ray C. Potes

Gio is a filmmaker, dramaturg, and a multi-platform cultural worker from Cainta, Rizal. A graduate of the UP Film Institute, he has made five Filipino queer short films: MARK & LENNY (2017), SUNUGIN ANG APARADOR (2018), DATING NICK (2019), JULIE (2020) and ULIT (2024). Alternating with creative works, Gio conducts workshops and lectures on various aspects of film theater. He is a part-time lecturer at the Far Eastern University and a member of the queer solidarity collective Kinaiya whose anthologies also feature some of Gio’s literary efforts. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Women and Development Studies at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
