Film Studio

The UPFI Film Studio is a production space housing at 210 sqm, with an equipment room, a video and audio control room, a dressing room, a video projector and 12’x16’ projection screen, vehicle access, movable 10 foot ladder, with maximum occupancy of 224 people with 3 fire exit signs.

The UPFI Film Studio is a facility primarily for classroom teaching, filming academic assignments and thesis productions. The studio space is home to Cinematography, Production Design, Directing classes and Thesis productions. This facility is also occasionally host to the Experimental and Narrative classes and other Institute sponsored events, workshops, and extension.

UP units, organizations, or individuals who would like to rent the space for non-academic production shoots and free admission events, may rent subject to academics approval and availability after school hours to ensure an orderly learning environment.

Editing Lab

The editing laboratory of UPFI is a dedicated workspace designed to support film students in bringing their creative projects to life. Equipped with several computer stations featuring Mac Mini units, the room provides a reliable and efficient environment for editing a wide range of media. Students can use the laboratory to work on their photos, videos, and other course-related outputs, making it an essential hub for post-production activities. The space is arranged to encourage focus and productivity, allowing users to refine their work, experiment with editing techniques, and complete their academic requirements using industry-relevant tools.

Photo Studio

The UPFI Photo Studio is a dedicated space designed for photography classes, equipped to support both learning and creative production. It features a range of backdrops that allow students to experiment with different styles, settings, and lighting setups. The studio provides a controlled environment where aspiring photographers can practice composition, portraiture, and technical skills essential to the craft.
